So Happy To Have A Sister Like You

So, I was browsing through blogs the other day and I came upon Brooke Stockman's blog.  She does the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge with Sankari Wegman and the the challenge this week is the movie Sense and Sensibility.  I was in the middle of reading this book and had to finish reading it, watch the movie, and make a card for this wonderful challenge because I am a Jane Austen fan addict.  I wanted to make this card about sisters because of the relationship between Elinor and Marianne.  It only seems fitting to give this to my younger sister MaryAnn for her birthday.  I used sketch 161 at CPS for this card.

Cardstock, stamps, ink, ribbon, corner rounder, eyelets, embossing powder: Stampin' Up!
Embossing folders: Cuttlebug by Provo Craft

I used the emboss resist technique and a brayer to add the color on the focal point on this card.  I may have to do a tutorial to show you how....it was really quite easy.

I have this posted on the bottom of my left sidebar, but here is my result when I took the which Jane Austen heroine quiz.
