I am so excited to be a part of the ScrapbookPal design team. I was very happy to see the cart they they had sent me was Mini Monsters. There are so many cute cuts on here, it was hard trying to pick just one. I can see lots of ways to use it on Halloween themed projects, but just for fun, I wanted to try something different. I created this card for a little boy's birthday that is coming up. I hope he enjoys it!!
"Birthday Count"
Supplies:Cardstock: Stampin' Up!, Bazzill
Ribbon: Stampin' Up!
Corner rounder: Stampin' Up!
Pen: Uni-bal Signo
Die-cuts: Cricut Expression with Gypsy and Mini Monsters cart
and Ashlyn's Alphabet cart
Embossing: Cuttlebug with Number Collage embossing folder
Instructions:
- White card base is cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and folded to make an A2 sized card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches).
- Black cardstock cut at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 with rounded corners.
- Turquoise cardstock cut at 4 x 4 1/4 inches and round the two top corners with a corner punch. Use the Number Collage cuttlebug embossing folder and the Cuttlebug machine to emboss the turquoise cardstock.
- White cardstock cut at 1 x 4 inches with rounded corners on the bottom.
- Tie a 1/4 inch piece of black ribbon around the layered pieces of cardstock where the turquoise and white meet.
- Cut and assembled the vampire cut from the Mini Monsters cart at 2 3/4 inches. Add a little detail with a white gel pen. Adhere him to the middle of the turquiose piece of cardstock with dimensional adhesive.
- Using a Gypsy or Design Studio and the Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge, weld birthday and count at .6 inches (rounding the birthday a little if you want to). Cut them out and adhere to the card around the vampire cut.
- Using the Ashlyn's Alphabet cart cut H and B out at .6 inches in white and adhere to the belly of the vampire. Cut out 1 2 3 4 at 1/2 inch and 5 at 3/4 inch and adhere to the bottom of the cart on the white cardstock. Place dots between the numbers.
