Today, I am going to share how I am going to display my favorite layouts in my new room.......
I have a few that I don't want to put away immediately. My husband has quite a few left over goodies in his garage (his equivalent to my scrapbook room) and I asked if he had some extra circle ended screws and wire to help me out. He did have some and so I had him hang them high on my wall and I put my layouts sideways into page protectors and hung them with clips along the wire with the open end of the page protector on the side to help keep the dust from getting in. This was a super cheap and easy way to display my favorite layouts and I won't have to put them into books immediately......plus they are really easy to switch out if I have new favorites.
Now, for my giveaway today, I have something that I haven't pulled out and used for a loooooong time. It was one of the first tools that I purchased and only used two or three times. It is the Sizzix Paddle Punch system. I am not even sure if they make them anymore, but I have seen them on ebay.
Included in this giveaway:
- Nine paddle punches in the following shapes: Large square,
small square, large circle, small circle, butterfly, heart, swirl,
star, and leaf.
- Hammer with two replacement heads
- Poker to help remove the cut out from inside the paddle
- Mat
How to enter:
- Leave a comment under this post telling me if you are organizing or plan to organize this month
- Be a public follower or subscriber to my blog (sign up on the right sidebar)
One entry per person, please....duplicate entries will be deleted. I will randomly draw a winner on Monday January 31st for this and all giveaways this week.
Don't forget to come back and check for more giveaways all week long. I will also have an AWESOME giveaway when I reach the 1000 follower/subscriber mark. Here is the link to yesterday's giveaway:
Hugs,
Your so sweet, I love your new system on displaying your favorites! As for organzing I have every intention of cleaning out the closet this weekend, hubby said he would build me shelves and then I can organize my scraproom. Thanks

Hi x I am not organising my own craft room x but I just love helping others to do theirs! I know I am a bit batty! but I am fascinated by others craft rooms x I do have a passion for interior design too so I think it is connected somehow x well thats my excuse anyway x Leigh x
ReplyDeleteAmy I love how you are displaying your layouts. I have tried the same thing but no room here so next place we live! I have never even SEEN those paddle punches so how do they work? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin your display too. I saw it done that way in a scrapbooking store once and loved it. Thanks for reminding me. I'm like you I like to look at layouts and cards awhile before they get put away. I am definitely organzing my craft space. It had melted all over the house and has been a mess to clean up. My hubby likes to browse music videos online and I enjoy listening to them so we are making a space together that we can both enjoy and be with each other at the same time. I hate scrappin in one room when everybody else is laughing in another. I must be crazy! Thanks for another chance at winning!

I am big into organization and it drives my family nuts. I am working on my scraproom as we speak and I got this really cool ribbon organizer that I saw on a blog and I just love.
ReplyDeleteOooooh, I love the way you have displayed your layouts!! One day, when i have a bigger space, I'm going to do that too!!
ReplyDeletePS. (please don't put me in the draw for the prize)
Love the hanging layout idea. Seems like I never quit organizing. But it makes me remember what I have. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI JUST finished reorganizing last week! It just seemed like I never had enough room. So I took out the bed that was in there that was only used as a dumping station and brought in another table -- which made a HUGE difference! Now everything has a spot and I have plenty of room to work. I also organized my cuttlebug folders using Okie's system - love it! I still have to find a good system for my ribbon (I think I've tried just about everything and haven't found one I like yet!) and my punches, which are just in a big basket and I have to empty out the whole thing every time I want to use a punch -- seems like the one I want is ALWAYS on the bottom! hehe Congrats on organizing your room!
ReplyDeleteI have been rearranging and reorganizing my office/scrapbook room. I just love the organizing cubes from Michaels!
ReplyDeleteI love your idea for displaying LO's. I can't "hang" anything on the walls in my new room cause hubby says they are plaster and he doesn't want me to ruin them but I bet I could use your idea and put the screws in the crown molding and run a wire across. Thanks so much for sharing! My room is a work in progress and I have to finish it soon, so I can get the nursery done before the baby comes.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
I don't have enough scrapbook items to organize yettttt.....smile, but I do need to order my fabric stuff.
ReplyDeleteI love to organize! Just don't ask me to clean. ROFL!
ReplyDeleteI am always organizing something - it has to do with my OCD. But amazingly I always have a lot of clutter. That is what I am organizing now - purging the clutter and organizing what's left - including my scrap room.
I'm enjoying following your organizing (although it is keeping me from working hehe)
I already organized!! I actually organize and create/do my uni courses in satisfied organized bliss for a couple weeks, then my office turns into a mess again and I have to reorganize. I constantly rearrange and reorganize things.
ReplyDeleteI actually have two perfect spots on two walls that would utilize your screw/wire / hanging LOs exceptionally well. I may steal that idea!! Thanks!
I'm a follower!
Thanks for the chance to win a great giveaway!
Since my scrap-booking space is very small, it easily can go from organized to a hot mess in a matter of seconds. I am continually trying different ways to make the most of my very small space. Thanks for sharing your organization journey with us!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of hanging the layouts on the wall to display them. I might have to do something like that when I get a bigger space to use for my crafting. Thanks for sharing with us. Love your organizing.

I love this idea!! I've been looking for a way to display pages that i don't want to put in a book.
ReplyDeleteI will be creating my scraproom this weekend!! When we moved into the house i had turned our small room into a playroom/nursey for when we hae kids (and for the kids that are at our house and are bored) Anyways, since we found out that I can't have kids, I've decided to change this room into my craftspace. (the basement was suppose to be my space however, there is a bat that lives down there and this will be alot cheaper of a remodel)
My workbenches will be painted today and put together tomorrow. Then the organizing will begin saturday night when i come back from a crop =) I'm excited to have my own space and be out of the dining room!!
Yes, I am going to organize and clean my act

ReplyDeleteI'm organizing my ribbons at the moment. They look great just all hanging up, so it's practical, but I can enjoy them too. Next will be the papers.
