Have you ever made your Christmas cards and tags in July?? I have and it is such a relief to get them done now and just reach for them during the holidays instead of rushing to get them done then when there are so many other things going on. There is a new challenge at My Craft Spot this week that gives you the opportunity to get started on some for your Christmas celebrations. I created this set of tags for the challenge this week.....
I used the Sweet Sentiments Set #2 from My Craft Spot as well as some of her traditional chocolate bakers twine. The tag is cut and tree are both cut on my Cricut. I was going for a more rustic look so, I inked all die cut images and raised the tree up with some dimensional adhesive. Here is a close up of one of the tags.....
Supplies-
Cardstock: Stampin' Up!Die cuts: Cricut with George and Basic Shapes (squares),
A Child's Year (scallop square), Winter Frolic (trees)
Stamps, twine: My Craft Spot
Ink: Stampin' Up! (pen, stamped), Tim Holtz (distress ink)
Eyelet: Stampin' Up!
Dimensional Adhesive: therm-o-web
So, tell me.....have you ever started your Christmas cards and/or tags early. How early do you usually start them?? I hope that you can hop on over to My Craft Spot and join us this week.
Hugs,
Amy

These are so sweet, Amy! Those little trees must have been so fiddly to put together - but well worth it! The tags look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAmy, these are amazing! I love everything about them especially how the trees pop of the tag! Sorry I didn't get a chance to stop by last week for your PKS GD week. I did see all your projects though! I absolutely LOVE the fairy card with the wand and your grass on the Day 5 card looks great! Such a fun technique that I may need to try :) Great job!

These tags are gorgeous! I am going on a scrapbooking weekend in Oct. I plan on getting my Christmas cards all done then :)
ReplyDeleteI love the little Christmas trees with the ornaments/lights. As a pretty new crafter, I've never made mass quantities of Christmas cards/projects. This year I want to get a head start. Starting in July is perfect because you have plenty of time to get it done without rushing.
