Hello everyone!!  How was your holiday weekend??  I had a great time with family.  I did have a little one that was sick over the long weekend, and so I haven't had much time to get some projects done that I can share with you yet.....but I am working on some DT stuff that I get to share with you later.  =)

I am really excited to see that I have new "likes" on Scrapping Mommy's facebook page.  If you haven't seen it yet, click here to check it out.  I have gone to Random.org and had it pick a number for the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.  It picked #7 and so the winner is..........................

Set of 4 Holiday Tubes with SRM Stickers

I had such a fun assignment with SRM Stickers recently.....to create a set of 4 holiday tubes.  I love the idea of the sleigh and three different reindeer on each of the tags and had to make some.....I think they would be lovely neighbor gifts, don't you??  I filled these tubes from SRM Stickers with Almond Hershey's Kisses.

I used my Cricut Expression machine and the Christmas Solutions cartridge to cut the images and I used the Winter Frolic cartridge to cut the tags.  I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the tags and then I painted over the embossed area with cream colored paint and a foam brush. I added the lovely We've Got Your Sticker - Merry from SRM Sticker stickers as a sentiment and then I  finished off the tags with a little lace and stitching.

I added a little bit of ribbon to tie the tags to the tube along with a little gold colored bell.

What do you think??  I hope you enjoyed seeing them as I did creating them to share with you.  I would love it if you hopped on over to the SRM Stickers blog and left a little love on my Christmas Tube post with these tubes.......that would totally ROCK!!  =)

I am working on lots of projects over the next couple of weeks.  I hope that you will come back soon.  I am just itching to give away another Cricut cartridge.  ::wink::  ::wink::

Cricut Mini on HSN with Cricut Craft Room Exclusives!!

Have you seen or heard of the new Cricut Mini machine that is debuting on HSN tonight/tomorrow??  It is a smaller machine that cuts 9 x 12 inches and cuts from the new Cricut Craft Room.  There is a new FREE cartridge in the Cricut Craft Room software called Cricut Craft Room Basics along with some new exclusive downloadable images that are also available.  I had the wonderful opportunity to work with some of the new exclusive downloadable images for the Cricut Blog today.  Here are some of the examples I created.  You can see all of the wonderful examples and images that are now available as well as the details about my projects here on the Cricut Blog.

From the Party Picks and Pennants exclusive images....

From the Australia exclusive images......

And from the Track and Field exclusive images.....

I have been playing around in the new Cricut Craft Room for a little while and I am loving the features.  You can quickly search through the images and I love how easy it is to manipulate the images with the great handles around the images.  I am excited to share this post with you since it is my first as a member of the Cricut Circle Magazine design team.  I am really honored to be a part of this super talented team. ♥

I know it has been a little while since I last posted, but we have had major computer problems here and I ended up having to get a new laptop in order to get this posted and to keep up with my design team commitments.....early birthday present for me.  =)  I am loving it!!  Thanks for sticking around and I hope that you have enjoyed today's post.

Wishing You Well

Oops!!  I almost forgot to post this card before the current Play Date Cafe challenge was over.  I used one (of my many) Stampin' Up! sets on this card along with an SRM Sticker.  The embossing is with my Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder.
Here is the photo for PDCC106:

I am also entering this in CAS-ual Friday's CFC27:

I am not really an over the edge type of card maker, but sometimes it is fun to go or "color" outside the lines.  ;)

You can see a close up of the card plus all the details on my original post HERE.  I would like to wish Amy from Flashback Friday Challenges a very Happy Blogaversary!!  We have been blogging  friends for a long time.  Maybe one day we will get a chance to meet in person.   =)  Thanks for stopping by!!

Easy Scrap Tool Organizer with Mini Tutorial

I don't have a paper crafting project to share with you today, but I wanted to share this really easy scrapping tool organizer that I made last week.  I am keeping some ink pads, twine spools, stamps, metal embellishments, and some adhesive stored in it.  I have it on my desk within easy reach and it looks so fab!!

Here is how I made it.......
I found the pieces at a second hand store (a total of $5) and bought the paint and adhesive at Michaels (with lots left over for other projects). I washed the glass candlestick and lightly sanded the metal pieces (to help the paint adhere) and then painted the metal pieces with spray paint....make sure you use the spray paint in a well ventilated area.....I did mine outside.
I added a few layers of paint and waited for it to completely dry. I then glued and assembled the pieces together.  The adhesive that I used is Aleene's 7800 Platinum Bond.  Here is the project completely finished......

I hope that this has inspired you to search the shelves at your local second hand store for something you can get your hands on to alter and make your own.  Don't forget that I have a fun giveaway going on.......Click HERE to get entered......I will be drawing a winner this weekend.  =)

Hugs,
Amy
