Scenic Birthday Boy Card with Peachy Keen Stamps
Hello everyone!! This is my second post for the day....to see another fun project, scroll down. Today I get to share a fun birthday card on the Peachy Keen Stamps blog that you can create for that special little boy in your life. I don't know about you, but I am always running short on birthday cards and since I have many more nephews than nieces in my family, there is always a need for a birthday card for a little boy. The Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps is my favorite face set for little boys.
I stamped the background with the new Cloudy Day background stamp in two different colors of blue ink. I find it easier to add ink to these large images with a brayer. It provides a more even ink coverage. After adding the stamped background image to the card, I used my sewing machine to stitch along the edges of the image.
I used my Cricut and the This and That cartridge from Creative Memories to cut out this little boy. I added some ink and this adorable face from the Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment along with a little chalk on the cheeks and some white gel pen for the whites of the eyes and some freckles on his cheeks. I inked up and added some stitching to the die cuts, too. I also cut out a fence and some grass to go behind the boy and added them to the card first. I finished it off with a little bit of bakers twine from The Twinery.
I hope that this has inspired you to get working on some birthday cards for the sweet little boy in your life.
Hugs,
Amy
