Large Crocheted Doily Card

Hi!!  If you are looking for the Taylored Expressions blog hop, CLICK HERE.  Have you seen the newest additions to the bakers twine lineup at The Twinery??  Today I get to share a project over on The Twinery blog using the new Purple Shimmer bakers twine.  I thought it would be fun to use it in a big way on my card, so I pulled out my grandmother's crochet hooks and created this large doily and used it on my card today.

I distressed the cardstock with the edge of some scissors and also added some inking.  The aqua colored cardstock is embossed with my cuttlebug and the Textile Texture embossing folder.  The sentiment is from SRM Stickers We've Got Your Sticker - Hello and I used a little bit of lace and stitching from my sewing machine to give it more of a shabby chic look.  I finished it off with some purple ribbon, a couple of buttons and pins.  Here is a closer look.....
