Hi everyone!! I am so loving this New Release from My Creative Time and can't wait to share my project for the blog hop today with you. If you have come from Emma's blog, you are in the right place. If you have just happened upon my blog and would like to join us, hop on back to the My Creative Time blog to get all the details and to get started.
I created the pages for this mini calendar book using the NEW Stitched 4x6 Journal Dies and I stamped the NEW Hexy Background stamp on the cover and colored it in with my Prismacolor pencils.
The label on the front is cut with the XL Label Die and the Stitched XL Label Die. I used the numbers from the numbers in the NEW Stitched 4x6 Journal Dies for the 2014 and layered them on the Stitched Fun Ticket Dies. The sentiment is stamped from the NEW Treasured Moments stamp set. Here is a closer look at the cover.....
Inside, I stamped each month out for the 2014 calendar year with the NEW Type Calendar stamp set. Here are some tips to help you out on your own, lay out the numbers on each month and use a larger stamping block to do them in 2-3 rows at a time. Some months start on the same day of the week, so be sure to check on the yearly calendar so you don't have to reposition the numbers on each month.....for example, February, March, and November all start on a Saturday, so you can stamp out those months all at the same time. ;)
I used the Lowercase Fun Dies for the month abbreviations. Take a peek at November......
I also cut and stamped on the Just Tags dies and added the month with the NEW Type Calendar set to the edge of the tag and tied a ribbon on them.......
I plan on adding birthdays to these tags like I have started to do with the month of June........
The paper I used on my calendar mini album is from the MME Nostalgia 6x6 paper pad. You can check out all of the new release and get the new sets HERE.
