January Release Blog Hop with Peachy Keen Stamps

Hello and welcome to my stop on the blog hop as we showcase the new January Release from Peachy Keen Stamps.  We are excited to get the new release blog hop underway and can't wait to share with you our final projects for the release.

This year, we are switching things up a little bit as we share sneak peek projects with you in the mornings from the 1st to the 4th and then we will finish off with a big blog hop on the 5th.

For my project, I created a set of 4x4 cards that can be used as a gift set (possibly for a new mom as thank you's).  Take a look at all four along with more detailed pictures below......

The first one up is a cute kitty card with the saying "Hey Diddle Diddle the Cat & the Fiddle" which come from the new Diddle Diddle stamp set.  I just love this cute little kitty image.....I just had to color him as an orange tabby.

Up next is the fun little cow jumping over the moon card.  I used the Over the Moon stamp set for the cow and moon images and "The Cow Jumped Over the Moon" sentiment as well as the background stars on this one......I decided to make this one a little different with a round darker background with heat embossed stars.

This next card is this adorable laughing doggie and "The Little Dog Laughed to See Such Sport" sentiment.  These are also from the Diddle Diddle stamp set.  I just love how he is on the ground laughing......

Finally, here is the fourth card with the Dish, Spoon and "The Dish Ran Away with the Spoon" sentiment all from The Dish and the Spoon stamp set.

These new sets are soooo fun!!  I colored them all with Copic markers and then added some white pen accents.  For the backgrounds, I just cut some 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 squares from the blue and then added some wavy green hills that I just free cut with scissors.  The only exception is the Cow jumping over the Moon card.  I used my largest circle Spellbinders die for that one.  I added some ink accents to each of the background  pieces for a little bit more dimension.  To finsh off all the cards, I added some hand stitching with embroidery floss as well as ribbon, twine, and a button.
